“What is in biosolids?”  In the past, providing information about the biosolid’s nutrient profile, organic matter content, and heavy metals was enough to satisfy the inquirer of this question.  In recent years, however, this response is often times not enough.  “What about all the other stuff – i.e. personal care products and pharmaceuticals -- that go down the drain?”  With this webcast, experts who have studied contaminants of emerging concern (i.e. PCBs, pharmaceuticals, antibiotics) in the environment will provide information on cutting-edge research in this field and provide advice for members of the biosolids community on how to address questions related to this topic.
